We begin our visit in the small town of Saint Mère d’Eglise where the paratrooper John Steele got stuck for hours in the church tower, playing dead to survive the defense of the Germans. We will also visit the Airborne museum dedicated to American paratroopers of D-Day.
We will continue the Ponta du Hoc where the American Rangers scaled the cliffs in order to disable German artillery very well located between the beaches of Omaha and Utah.
After we depart toward the American Cemetery in Normandy. In its 72 hectares we will see the Memorial Monument and contains the remains of 9,387 US soldiers and more than 300 others of unknown origin.
We finish this tour on the beach at Arromanches, where we will discover the traces of English floating harbor and the Landing Museum.
